On Thursday, February 6th in the IHOPABQ Prayer Room at 5 pm, we will take some time to pray for the salvation of the Jewish people.
Believers and believing Jews have a mandate to pray for the Jew’s salvation and for God’s plans and purposes to come to pass for this nation.
I like what Billy Humphrey (IHOPATL) said, he noted that in Isaiah 62:1 that God was not going to take a break from interceding for Israel until He saw their salvation. So, if He is not going to stop praying for His people, then we ought to join with Him. We love who God loves and so we choose to partner with Him and pray for Israel. He won’t stop until their prophetic destiny is fulfilled. So we will regularly intercede with Jesus until they come to know Jesus as their Messiah and their righteousness (salvation) burns so bright that nations will come to Israel.
God is their husband.
Isaiah 54:5 For your husband is you Maker, whose name is the LORD of hosts;
God tells us they are the apple of His eye.
Zechariah 2:8 For thus says the LORD of hosts, “After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.
God loves them with a forever love.
Jeremiah 31:3 “I have loved you with an everlasting glove; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.”
Our response to God’s invitation is for us to take our place on the wall, should be a resounding “yes”.
The neat thing about seeing God’s love for Israel is, that He feels the same way about us.
